Feb 13 – April 27: 15-21 Semi-finalist teams chosen. Teams receive $1,000 and mentoring.
April 27:Finals Competition. 2 teams from each of three categories selected.
April 28:Grand Finals Competition. NStar GP ($125,000), DOE GP ($100,000) &
Track prizes ($25,000 each) awarded.
Primary value of CleanTech Open is mentoring and networking.
~1/3 of applications are accepted as participants.
~1/5 of participants are selected as finalists. All finalists receive ≥$10,000 in cash & servies.
Regional winner receives $20,000 in cash & services.
Regional sustainability winner receives extra $10,000 in cash & services.
National winner receives $200,000 in cash.
Over 50% of all active CleanTech Open alumni in the U.S. have now raised 3rd party capital.
Super Early Bird Deadline: March 1, 2014 (Student rate = $20 / team)
Early Bird Deadline:April 1, 2014 (Student rate = $40 / team)
Final Deadline:May 1, 2014 (Student rate = $90 / team)
May 16: Announcement of Participant Teams, teams pay participant fee $475 / person.
June 17-18: East Coast Academies (receive mentoring and refine business plan)
July-Sept: Workshops, seminars, business clinics, networking events
Sept 9: Final deadline for worksheets
Sept: Regional Mock Judging
Oct 1-18: Regional final judging and awards ceremony
Nov: Global Forum – Final Judging and Awards Ceremony
